We are going places, come with us.

Our business is helping organisations to improve staff engagement and productivity. We like to strive to be great too, so we give ourselves clear objectives, expect honest feedback and are open about the cultural values we like to see in each and every one of us.

We strive for excellence and think big but as you would expect, we are currently a little smaller than most of our customers, even so we also use the StaffCircle® platform for communications, training, document access, tasking and our on-boarding processes.

We are an exciting SaaS business and are ambitious with big plans for the future. If you are bright, hardworking and want to excel and make your mark on this world then drop us a line. Below are some of the specific roles we currently seek.

Senior Developer Full time 01st Aug, 2018 Chester, United Kingdom

Job Description

Our mission is to Engage, Empower and Enhance the experience of all workers. We have all seen first hand how internal communications and employee feedback is fundamentally flawed in most workplaces, and poor communications causes low morale, low productivity and negative experience for workers. From this, StaffCircle® was born.

The brainchild of entrepreneur Mark Seemann, StaffCircle® creates a place where communications and productivity can flow on any device in any location helping to better empower, engage and enhance every company's most valuable asset – their people.

Our passion for the workers experience has focused our design around the worker, using the same methods as popular consumer software. One finger or thumb operation is all it takes, Non-Technical? No problem. No internet? No problem. No app installed? No problem. Availability, ease of use and accessibility is the our way.

We began our journey in October 2017, with the initial team Mark Seemann, Brian Merton, Neil Merton and Luke Miles growing the platform and business. In the past year we have had several major successes; securing funding, gaining several clients, and being accepted onto several startup programs including Microsoft Startups.

We have so many ideas to explore and experiment with that we need more able hands to join us in this journey. Over the next 12 months we are planning to expand our team and help these ideas become a reality.

Initially we will be looking for a software developer to collaborate with the development team in Chester focusing on our core platform, enabling growth of our existing and planned modules. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced agile environment, and relish the challenge of bringing ideas into reality.  We work primarily within the Microsoft stack, so the candidate must have a passion for developing with the latest and greatest tech in this area.

Requirements

  • Experience developing commercial solutions
  • Experience working with dotnet using C#
  • Experience in developing modern web applications
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Experience using testing frameworks such as xUnit and moq
  • Experience working in agile teams and processes
  • Experience working with Azure, AWS, or Google cloud

Benefits

This truly is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and business at day zero. You will be able to contribute to the shape our platform takes from both the technical aspect but also the overall experience for our users. You will get the opportunity to learn some of the latest technologies and have the freedom to bring them to the table.

  • Involvement in a fast growing startup.
  • Learn some of the latest technologies and approaches including vuejs, serverless, microservices, and progressive web apps.
  • We know how much a work life balance is important so flexible working is a vital part of our culture. It is about getting the job done, not the hours which you work.
  • We know commutes can be less than ideal, and sometimes you need some head space to get your best work done so we ensure remote working is available as needed.
  • Competitive Salary
  • 25 days holiday
  • Company events and conferences

This role will be based in our Chester office. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground and help build an awesome experience for all workers around the world. We need brains, ambition and  passion to help continue our journey. It will be one hell of ride for us all and we are looking forward to having you on board.
