v.1.50.5 (30/09/2026)
September 2026 V(1.50.5)
You can now hide or rename the Activity Feed, give team managers visibility of the people in their teams, and set OKRs to repeat. Reviews get more control over when they can be completed, and holiday booking has new safeguards. Seven smaller platform improvements also went out across reviews, objectives, absence, integrations and sign-in.
New features
3 itemsHide or rename the Activity Feed
A new Settings page in Comms > Configuration lets you hide the Activity Feed without switching off the Comms module, or give it a name that suits your organisation. When it is hidden, the feed is removed from the menu and from search, new posts go to one of your custom feeds, and the Comms icon opens your first custom feed.
Custom feeds are not affected. Access to the page is controlled by the Settings permission under Communications in Security & Groups.
Give team managers visibility of the people in their team
Teams can now grant visibility. Switch on the visibility setting for a team and its manager can see the people in that team across the Directory, Reviews, Objectives and Groups, even if those people sit outside the manager's own reporting line. This suits HR partners, regional leads or anyone who needs to see a defined group of people without seeing everyone.
The setting is applied team by team. What the manager can do with each person still follows their own permissions, and visibility covers only the people listed in the team, not those people's reports. Review templates have a matching option so team managers can see reviews raised from that template.
Recurring OKRs
OKRs can now be set to recur. Each time a new period starts, the objective is created again with its key results included, so quarterly or annual OKRs no longer need to be rebuilt by hand.
Improvements
11 itemsStop a review being completed before all feedback is in
A new toggle on the review template prevents a review from being marked complete until every requested piece of feedback has been submitted. Managers can no longer close a review while feedback is still outstanding.
Recurring reviews can be created on schedule even if the last one is still open
Recurring review templates have a new option to create the next review on its due date whether or not the previous review has been completed. Use it to keep a regular review cycle moving when an earlier review is running late.
Manage Reviews shows active people by default
Deactivated people are now left out of the Manage Reviews list unless you choose to include them. A new filter brings them back when you need to look at historical reviews.
The streamlined reviews screen and 9-box grid are now standard
The Streamlined Reviews Interface and the 9-box grid in Reviews have left beta and are now switched on for every account. There is nothing to enable.
Longer descriptions for review and question templates
Review template and question template descriptions can now be up to 1,000 characters, up from 250. The extra room lets you explain what a template is for, and gives AI-generated questions more context to work from.
Report on cancelled time off
Cancelled time off requests can now be included in reporting. Teams planning cover across several sites can see when a booked absence has been withdrawn and the person is available again.
Absence policies must be linked to a holiday type
Holiday booking depends on each absence policy being linked to a holiday type. A holiday type that is linked to a policy can no longer be deleted, a policy with no holiday type can no longer be assigned to anyone, and the policy screen shows a warning if the link is missing.
Colleagues' holiday types stay private when booking time off
When someone books holiday, any overlapping requests from colleagues now show as "Holiday" rather than the colleague's specific holiday type. Other absence types display as before.
Switched-off modules are hidden from profiles
When Tasks and Worksheets, Time Off, Documents, or Objectives and Reviews is turned off in Customisation, the matching section is also removed from the person record and profile. Turn the module back on and the section returns.
Clear messages for missing required fields
If a required field such as ID/Ref is left empty on a training record, the field is now highlighted with a message explaining what is needed. Previously the record did not save and no reason was given.
Day-month-year date format
Dates can now be shown as DD-MM-YYYY, so they read the way UK employees expect and appear the same way throughout the platform.
Small platform improvements
7 itemsStronger access controls on reviews
Visibility & Access restrictions on a review now apply everywhere the review can be opened or answered, and answers can only be saved to the participant's own form. Declining a leadership approval is limited to the designated approver, and feedback sent through an external link is checked against the person it was sent to.
Reopened reviews keep their original questions
If a review is reopened and its template is edited afterwards, the review stays on the questions it was first answered against, so existing answers always line up with the right questions.
Review questions keep the capitalisation they were written with
Reviewees now see questions exactly as they appear in the template, with the same capitalisation the reviewer sees.
Key results follow the owner of a copied OKR
When an OKR is copied and assigned to someone new, its key results are now assigned to the new owner as well.
Allowances in part hours
Absence type allowances can now be set in part hours, for example 52.5, rather than whole numbers only.
Site details sync from connected HR systems
Sites now come through correctly from connected HR systems, so people's site appears on their StaffCircle record.
Smoother landing after sign-in
On rare occasions the platform could stay on a blank page straight after signing in. You are now taken straight into the platform every time.
