New Starters
With your Personal and Secure Data Templates in place, you’re ready to add any New Starters. These are the individuals navigating your onboarding flow, providing the information you’ve outlined in your templates.

This guide will show you how to add new starters, and then manage their journey, whether that means rejecting their application or transforming them into full employees with their own dedicated profiles.
Adding a New Starter to StaffCircle
Step One
Hover over the People section of the side-bar, then navigate to: Manage ➡️New Starters. Select the ➕ next to New Starters to open the Add New Starter pop-up.
Step Two
Populate the mandatory fields within the form, then specify whether the New Starter Form is sent to applicants immediately following creation, or you can choose to defer this activation to a later date.
Then select the data templates at the bottom of the drawer before clicking the SAVE button.
Step Three
The New Starter will appear in the list with a status of ‘invited’. They will also receive an automated email from the platform if you selected the ACTIVATE IMMEDIATELY option.
When the employee clicks on the link in the automated email, it will provide them with a version of your platform which includes the fields specified in the data templates.
Rejecting a New Starter
There may be instances where you may need to reject a New Starter during the onboarding stage.
Step One
Hover over the People section of the side-bar, then navigate to: Manage ➡️New Starters. Select the New Starters title to display a list of your platform’s new starters.
Step Two
Identify the New Starter from the list and click on the red circle icon under the ACTIONS heading to open the REJECT [NAME] AS A NEW STARTER pop-up.
Step Three
Populate the text box with your rejection response then click the REJECT NEW STARTER button to reject the New Starter.
